BUS services in West Howe have been paused again after objects were thrown at buses on Friday evening.

A spokesperson for Morebus said services will not resume this evening until a “resolution is found”.

The 5 and 14 services are affected as a result.

Posting on social media, Morebus said: “Services 5 & 14. No service in West Howe due to objects thrown at buses yet again.

“This behaviour from a small minority unfortunately means services will NOT resume at all this evening until a resolution is found.

“Descriptions of the perpetrators have been forward to police.”

It comes after a string of incidents in recent weeks involving vandalism.

As previously reported by the Daily Echo, three Morebus services were forced to divert on August 31 due to vandalism to vehicles.

Morebus general manager Richard Wade slammed vandals for being “directly responsible” for the withdrawal of services.

Also last month, pellets or ball bearings were thrown at a Morebus vehicle in Cunningham Crescent resulting in a smashed window
