A MAN has been charged after two police officers were allegedly assaulted during a disturbance in the Lower Gardens.
Dorset Police were called to the Lower Gardens in Bournemouth at 8.16pm on Saturday, August 27 to reports of a disturbance.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers attended and went to detain a man reported to be involved.
“It was alleged that the man punched an officer to the face and pulled the hair of another officer.
“The officers did not sustain serious injuries.
“A 34-year-old man of no fixed abode was arrested and subsequently charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker. He is next due to appear in Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday September 23.
“Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.”
