A MAN has been arrested after a car was reportedly seen driving across the field by Baiter Skatepark.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward following the incident at around 1.35pm on Friday, August 19.

A blue Land Rover Discovery was allegedly seen driving across the field by Baiter Skatepark. The vehicle was stopped nearby.

A 33-year-old Bournemouth man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Police Constable Kier Dagnall, of the traffic unit, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened, or who may have captured the vehicle in the vicinity on dashcam or home CCTV footage, to please contact us.

“There was also a man in the car park who assisted officers by directing them to where the vehicle had gone. We would like to make contact with this individual so we can take their account as a witness, and I would urge him to please get in touch.”
