PLANS to expand an indoor football skills centre at a Poole retail park have been given the green light.
Former football chairman Eddie Mitchell’s FTY Lab launched in the former Mothercare unit at Redlands in Branksome last year.
The facility came about following a pilot set up at Christchurch Golf Club in Riverside Avenue.
The owners of the retail park site, Box+III Poole Limited, tabled an application with BCP Council to allow FTY Lab to expand a football gym and café offering into the neighbouring unit at Poole Retail Park, which is currently home to Anglia Home Furnishings.
Officers issued a certificate of lawfulness for the proposed development. This confirmed that full planning permission was not required.
As reported, property firms M7 Real Estate and Oxford Properties acquired Poole Retail Park in Redlands for £58million after reaching an agreement with NewRiver and Bravo Strategies.
