A MAN allegedly “pulled a woman with force” before two dog walkers intervened.

A 41-year-old has been arrested following the reported incident which occurred during the morning of Saturday, August 13 near the fun fair at Baiter Park.

It is reported that a man grabbed a woman and pulled her with force.

A couple, who were walking their dog nearby, reportedly intervened and told the man to leave the woman alone.

Following enquiries, a 41-year-old man from Poole was arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail while the investigation continues.

The arrested man and victim are known to each other.

Investigations Officer Katy Pearson, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened to please come forward.

“I am particularly keen to speak to the couple who were walking their dog as they may have important information to assist my enquiries.”
