A SUPERMARKET customer concealed items in her bag and assaulted two members of staff who confronted her as she tried to leave the Poole shop.

Police are investigating the incident which took place at the Asda in Culliford Crescent, Canford Heath.

It was reported that a woman entered the store and put items into her bag. She went to the checkouts and paid for one item, but did not pay for everything in her bag.

A member of staff confronted the woman as she attempted to leave. She became aggressive toward him and assaulted two staff members.

One of the victims sustained bruising and scratching to his chest during the incident which took place at around 6.45pm on Wednesday, August 10.

Officers are issuing a CCTV image of a woman they would like to identify.

Police Constable Angelika Dworczak, of Dorset Police, said: “As part of my enquiries I have obtained a CCTV image of a woman I would like to identify and I would urge anyone who recognises her to please come forward.”
