A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault in Bournemouth which left another man with a laceration to his hand.
At 7.52pm on Sunday, August 21, Dorset Police received a report that a man had been assaulted by another man in Southcote Road.
The victim, a man aged in his 50s and from Bournemouth, sustained a laceration to his hand and was taken to hospital.
A 32-year-old Bournemouth man has subsequently been arrested on suspicion of assault.
Detectives investigating the alleged assault are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Charlotte Staples, of Bournemouth CID, said: βIt was still daylight at the time of the incident and I am hoping that somebody may have witnessed what exactly happened.
βI am appealing for anyone with information to please contact us as this could assist my investigation.β
