RESIDENTS looking to improve their wellbeing have been invited to a free Health MOT as part of the ASPIRE Boscombe programme at Churchill Gardens.

The Health MOT kiosk is an initiative funded by ASPIRE offering free health and wellbeing check-ups from a unit designed to check factors such as weight, wellbeing, age, body mass index, body fat content, blood pressure and heart rate.

The kiosk is open six days a week, 10am to 4pm and will be in Churchill Gardens Hub until Thursday, August 25.

Whilst visiting the kiosk, residents will have the opportunity to sign up to the full ASPIRE Boscombe programme which provides free friendly workshops for people who want to improve their health and employment opportunities and to feel more confident and positive about life.

Registration is open to anyone over 18 living in the BCP area, who is unemployed, a job seeker, in temporary insecure work or on a zero hours contract and who would like to improve their health and wellbeing.

Participants are offered access to a wide range of activities including wellbeing and exercise sessions (including boxercise, positive mindset, yoga, pilates), singing for the brain, gardening, drama workshops and soon to start gardening and kitchen workshops.
