Four people have been arrested following reports of an assault at the seafront.
Police and the ambulance services rushed to Weymouth Pavilion just before 2pm this afternoon.
It followed reports a male had been assaulted in the area of the Pavilion.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "Officers attended and carried out extensive searches of the area.
"Following enquiries, three males and one female were arrested in connection with the incident.
"We do not have an update on the victim’s condition at this time."
Witnesses said they saw at least six police cars, two police vans and an ambulance at the scene.

A large crowd gathered near the scene and officers were seen speaking to bystanders.
The police spokesman said an investigation is ongoing.
