A GROUP of paddle boarders will be setting off from Mudeford to catch a glimpse of the full moon on Thursday.

Suzanne Patterson, a member of the Real Dorset Stand up Paddle (SUP) Community, will be hosting a full moon paddle board from Mudeford Quay.

Members of the public are invited to join in on the evening paddle and catch a glimpse of the full moon and stunning sunsets.

Suzanne said: “It’s just awesome to see and you always get an incredible sunset with the full moon.”

The Christchurch resident hosted her first group paddle for the full moon in July and welcomed a crowd of 70 paddle boarders.

She expects to have more than 100 paddle boarders at Thursday’s event.

Suzanne said: “I’m a keen paddle boarder, and I’ve been doing it for years. I usually do these full moon paddles on my own, but last month somebody said they’d come with me. I put it on the Facebook group, and had 70 people turn up.

“I thought if everyone wanted me to, I’d make it a regular thing.”

Those wanting to get involved should meet at the Mudeford Quay car park at 8.15pm on Thursday, August 11.

Suzanne has opened the event to people that have paddle boarded at least once before.
