THE A35 is closed in both directions following a crash on the main road near Bere Regis.
Police have shut the road off to traffic as emergency services deal with the collision, which has taken place on Tuesday evening in the area of Sugar Hill at Woodbury Cross.
The closure is in place between Bere Regis and Morden Park Corner.
Officers have asked motorists to avoid the area and to find alternative routes of travel.
Firefighters are also in attendance and a Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson has warned that the road is likely to remain shut for several hours.
