THE man arrested after an alleged rape in the sea off Bournemouth beach has been released under investigation, police have confirmed.
A man was arrested on June 12 in connection with the incident, which occurred in the sea near the Oceanarium at around 4pm on Sunday, July 18, 2021.

He was initially released on police bail, however a Dorset Police spokesperson said he has now been released under investigation.
As reported, Detective Inspector Wayne Seymour, of MCIT, said: “We have continued to support the victim and her family throughout this investigation, and they have been updated with this latest development.”
