A MAN sustained facial fractures after being assaulted in Christchurch by a man who fled the scene in a vehicle.

The victim, aged in his 40s, was assaulted in King’s Avenue near to the junction with Manor Road at around 8pm on Saturday, July 16.

The offender is described as white, aged in his early 20s, around five feet ten inches tall and of slim build with light curly brown hair.

Detective Constable Leo Christian, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this assault and I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information relating to the identity of those involved, to please contact us.”
