WHICH restaurant from Bournemouth’s past do you miss most?

We asked people on the Daily Echo’s Facebook page and more than 600 people responded.

How many of these restaurants do you remember?

1. Coriander on Richmond Hill - fantastic and sadly missed.

2. Fatty Arbuckles American restaurant on Old Christchurch road 80's to 90's....college days...

3. Mrs T's Supper Room in Poole Rd. Legendary place

4. La Gondola at Lansdowne

5. Definitely Mr Pang’s Chinese restaurant in Holdenhurst Road. The best Singapore Slings I’ve ever had, too!

6. Fortes and their scrumptious ice cream and knickerbocker glories

7. Valentino’s, by far the best Italian

8. Helvetia on Charminster High Street for amazing fondues and Cellar Bar for après-ski & Coriander on Richmond Hill for Mexican - both independent businesses.

9. The first Koh Thai in Boscombe.

10. Luigi in Moordown and Valentino in Bournemouth

11. The Chinese Fountain - all you can eat buffet and was AMAZING!!

12. La Botte and Momtaz in Boscombe, two great places

13. The Print Rooms, the original Koh Thai and 1812 restaurant before the re-furb

14. Henry's (vegetarian) at the Lansdowne, back in the 80s. Fabulous food, such cool staff and hand-painted murals of wild flowers!

15. Casa Pepe, back in the day was always lovely food.

16. Natural Bourne Grillers

17. The Continental in Holdenhurst Rd. Owned by the Cobelli family. Also miss Mr Pangs Chinese restaurant.

18.  Social Grill in Boscombe ... was amazing for breakfast.. miss their sweetcorn fritters.

19. Ken Hom’s restaurant at bottom of Richmond Hill. Their Bang Bang chicken was amazing!

20.  La Lupa in Old Christchurch Road.

22.  Abduls in Boscombe. Such a great atmosphere in there.

25.  Flossies and Bossies in Westbourne. Fabulous range of vegetarian dishes and no other restaurant comes close.

26.  Sweeney Todd’s in the Square. I worked there as a waitress during my student days.

27.   The British Restaurant , in the Winter gardens facing the sea . Late 40S early 50s. I think it was 5 Bob for the full roast. Children’s meal 2/6p. It was a treat!

28.  The salad centre in Boscombe was great for lunch. The International in Boscombe was brilliant too. The Momtaz in Boscombe was great for a lovely Indian meal, in the evening.

29. Doubt anyone remembers, but Pastaficio in Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth was amazing. All pasta and pizzas freshly made on site.
