A MAN has been handed a court bill of more than £500 for boarding a train between Yorkshire and Dorset without having a valid ticket.
Taylor Stokes, 24, was alleged to have entered the train between York and Bournemouth on February 13 and not having a ticket entitling him to travel.
Stokes, whose address was given as Porchester Road, Bournemouth, was convicted of the offence in absence at a South Yorkshire Magistrates’ Court hearing on July 21.
He was issued with a £220 fine along with an order to pay £183 compensation, £34 surcharge and £150 costs.
The case was taken to court by London & North Eastern Railway.
