FOUR 13-year-old boys have been arrested on suspicion of racially or religiously aggravated grievous bodily harm after a teenage boy sustained a fractured jaw. 

Two 13-year-old boys from Sherborne and two boys from Yeovil, also aged 13, were arrested. 

They have all been released on police bail while the investigation continues. 

It is reported at around 5.30pm on Friday, July 15, a 14-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of male teenagers in Pageant Gardens in Station Road. 

The victim attended hospital for treatment to a fractured jaw and a chipped tooth, as well as cuts and bruises.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anybody with information to come forward. 

Detective Constable Charlie Soutine, of Dorset County CID, said: “We are continuing to carry out enquiries into this incident and I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward. 

“I am particularly keen to speak to two members of the public who reportedly intervened as they may have important information to assist my investigation.”
