A MAN had to be rescued after becoming stuck on a cliff in Bournemouth on Monday morning.
Firefighters were called to help rescue the man at East Overcliff Drive in the East Cliff area just before 9am.
Two fire crews attended along with a technical rescue team and the aerial ladder platform.
A Dorset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were called to East Overcliff Drive at 8.55am this morning to rescue a man stuck approximately 10m from the cliff top.
“Crews attended from Westbourne and Springbourne; we also sent a technical rescue team from Poole and the aerial ladder platform from Westbourne.”
The spokesperson added: “The tech rescue team were able to reach the man, get him secured safely, and lowered him to the promenade. The stop was at 9.38am.”
Following the incident, the fire service urged people to "consider the consequences of your actions before partaking in risky activities".
