A LAND Rover which was used in a series of business burglaries was seized on Wednesday night.
Officers from Ringwood Police spotted the cream-coloured Defender, after it was reported for being in connection with a series of burglaries in Ringwood and Brockenhurst.
Police seized the 4x4 overngight between 11pm and 1am and discovered it had been on false plates as it had been stolen the day before at an address in Dorset.
The vehicle will now be forensically examined in order to identify an offender.
A spokesperson for RIngwood Police added: “This came whilst I was carrying out CCTV enquiries which enabled us to link this vehicle to the crimes committed - if you have any information that might help with our investigation please give us a call on 101 or call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
“Your continued reports of crime and other vital information - such as suspicious vehicles or people - allow us to target our patrols to deter criminals, identify suspects where crime has occurred, and obtain warrants and make arrests, which will in turn help make your town a safer place to live.”
