CCTV images have been released after around thousands of pounds worth of tools were stolen from a high street property in Swanage.
It is reported that between 12pm and 12.30pm on Sunday, July 10, entry was gained to a property off High Street in the town.
Around £6,000-worth of tools were subsequently stolen from the address.
Officers investigating the burglary have issued CCTV images of a man they would like to identify in connection.
Police Constable Samuel Kinsella, of Dorset Police, said: “As part of my enquiries I have obtained CCTV images of a man I would like to speak to.
“I would urge anyone who information about his identity to please get in touch.
“I am also keen to hear from any member of the public who have may have information in relation to this investigation.”
