FIREFIGHTERS were called to a “large field fire” in Wareham on Monday (11/7).
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Services were sent to the fire in Bere Road, Wareham just after 2pm.
The fire spread across an area of approximately 150x150 metres.
A fire engine and uniMog from Wareham Fire Station was sent to tackle the fire, as well as crews from the station in Hamworthy, a Land Rover pump from Bere Regis, a water carrier from Hampshire and two pumps from Poole.
The fire came to a stop at 3.21pm and everybody had left the scene by around 4.30pm.
