THE police helicopter has been launched to help search for a woman who has gone missing from a holiday park in Swanage.

Deborah Wilson, who is 72 years old, was last seen at around 9.15pm on Sunday, July 10, at Swanage Bay View Holiday Park in Panorama Road.

Police say they are becoming “increasingly concerned” for Deborah who is visiting the area and does not know Swanage very well.

She is described as white, five feet two inches tall and with blonde short hair. She was wearing pyjama shorts and a blue pyjama top and speaks with an American accent.

Inspector Craig Tiernan, of Dorset Police, said: “Deborah is visiting the area with friends and has only been to Swanage once before a number of years ago, so does not know the local area very well.

“Officers, assisted by the NPAS helicopter, have been searching for Deborah, but she has so far not been found. Due to the passage of time she has been missing, we are becoming increasingly concerned for her and need to find her to ensure she is safe and well.

“I would urge anyone who has seen Deborah, or a woman matching the description given, to please contact Dorset Police.”
