EVENTS held across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole this weekend left residents well and truly spoilt for choice.

Pride celebrations, charity-swims, a vintage-themed festival, and Ringwood’s very own Grand Prix took place across Saturday and Sunday, attracting hundreds of people to the area.

Partying began early on Saturday, with thousands of people gathering in the Bournemouth Triangle from 11am for the Bourne Free festival.

Bourne Free, the town’s annual celebration of Pride, saw members of the public weave through the streets before partying in the park.

Also on Saturday, large crowds of swimmers took to Bournemouth beach as they prepared for the Pier-to-Pier swim.

The popular charity event sees people take part in 1.4 mile swims between Bournemouth and Boscombe piers, all in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

The swims continued across Saturday and Sunday, and with both days reaching high temperatures, swimmers were eager to cool off in the sea.

Over in Poole, a vintage festival was keeping spirits high. The ‘Poole Goes Vintage’ event was held on the Poole Quay across the weekend, and saw guests enjoy the best of vintage music, dance, shopping, and vehicles.

Poole also became host to the popular Sandfest and Sandpolo events, seeing thousands take to the beach to enjoy sport and party.

Ringwood provided just as much entertainment on Sunday, with the British Pedal Car Grand Prix getting underway in the afternoon.

Spectators enjoyed parade laps by the pedal cars, followed by a two-hour endurance race around the closed off streets of Ringwood town centre.
