RESIDENTS have until tomorrow to express their views on the major plans to regenerate Boscombe with an overhaul of the area’s infrastructure, transport, retail sector and housing.
A public consultation on the Boscombe Towns Fund project opened on Monday, June 13, with residents able to have their say on the near £23 million masterplan.
Following a previous consultation in 2020, BCP Council has secured the funding as part of the government’s ‘Town Deal’ to turbo charge its ambitious regeneration plans for Boscombe.
The first phase masterplan includes proposals to revitalise the high street, providing green spaces and wider walkways, a new community centre, five retail kiosks, a medical centre and new housing. The work also includes six transport schemes to improve connectivity between the town centre, Pokesdown Railway Station and the seafront.
The consultation closes on Sunday, July 10. Visit haveyoursay.bcpcouncil.gov.uk/boscombe-towns-fund-phase-one to view phase one of the plans and to submit your views.
