MEMBERS of the public are being invited to a two-week event in celebration of Dorset’s marine wildlife.
Dorset Wildlife Trust will be hosting a special summer festival, giving visitors a glimpse at the most fascinating, colorful and diverse animals.
The event, in celebration of Marine Weeks, will run between July 24 to August 8, with different activities planned for across Dorset.
At Kimmeridge Bay, there will be an opportunity for dolphin watching, snorkeling and eco-friendly crabbing, as well as rock pooling activities led by expert wardens.
At the Wild Seas Centre at Kimmeridge, an underwater camera will broadcast live footage to a screen inside the centre to show Kimmeridge Bay beneath the waves.
Visitors will also be able to discover the amazing diversity of plankton found in water samples collected from Kimmeridge Bay.
Over at Chesil Beach, there's the chance to join the Strandline Detectives walk to hunt for wildlife treasure washed in from the sea and to find out what lives in the deeper water.
Trips can also be taken on the glass-bottomed Fleet Explorer boat to see the incredible Fleet Lagoon.
