A MAN has been found guilty of using a mobile phone while driving a tractor on a main road.
Simon John Pryor-Lettley, aged 27 and of Alder Drive, Alderholt, denied a single charge of using a handheld mobile telephone.
The case went to trial at Poole Magistrates’ Court on June 30, when magistrates found him guilty of the offence.
The court heard Pryor-Lettley was driving a Volta Tractor on the A30 in Henstridge on May 11 last year.
The defendant was fined £96 and ordered to pay a £34 surcharge and £300 costs.
His driving record was endorsed with six points.
