RINGWOOD Police have received reports of youths driving dirt bikes “illegally and recklessly” in Fordingbridge.

A spokesperson from Ringwood Police said: “We've recently received reports of youth(s) driving a dirtbike illegally and recklessly within the Town.

“Local Fordingbridge officers completed some enquiries and caught up those suspected to be responsible. Strong words of advice and warning given to youth and parent.

“If seen again, vehicle will be seized and prosecuted for offences under the Road Traffic Act.”

Ringwood Police also reminded the public about the dangers of driving irresponsibly: “The illegal use of motor vehicles, including e-scooters will not be tolerated.

“Reckless and dangerous driving imposes significant risk themselves, members of public and other road users. Documents must be in order to use a MPV on a public highway.

“Please continue to report using 101, Online or 999 immediately in the case of an emergency.”
