A MAN was knocked unconscious during an early hours street robbery in Poole.

The victim, a local man aged in his 20s, was attacked while walking along the road in the area of Poole Road and Briarswood Road in Upton at around 12.30am on Sunday, June 19.

He was approached by two men who asked him what he was doing, before demanding he emptied his pockets.

When the victim refused, he was punched in the face, kicked and knocked unconscious before cash was stolen. The first man is described as white, around five feet ten inches tall, of athletic build and aged in his mid-20s.

Police say he had blond hair in a fringed style that was swept to one side and was wearing a black or dark navy sport-style tracksuit and trainers and spoke with a local southern accent.

The second man is described as of mixed heritage, around six feet tall and of athletic build. He had dark hair that was shaved to the skin on the sides and spoke with a Birmingham accent.

Detective Inspector Nicky Jenkins, of Dorset County CID, said: “This was an unprovoked assault on a man as he walked home, and I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened or knows who was responsible to please get in touch.

“I would also ask residents to please check their home CCTV cameras to see if they captured anything of relevance.”
