WONDERING what do to this weekend?

There's LOTS going on across Dorset on Saturday and Sunday. 

Here's a round-up of just some of the events and activities taking place.

1. Get ready to step back in time when Shake & Stir Vintage Music Festival returns to Fisherman’s Walk in Southbourne on Saturday and Sunday. The free event will feature retro music, vehicles, dancing, fashion and more from the 1920s to the 1970s. Takes place between 11am and 7pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday. 

2. Thousands of people are set to flock to Tankfest at The Tank Museum in Bovington this weekend. The event runs from Friday to Sunday with Saturday and milt-day tickets now sold out. However, Friday and Sunday tickets are still available. To book tickets, visit tankmuseum.org.

3. There will be food, drink and live music at Upton House Food & Drink Festival this weekend. The three-day event between Friday and Sunday will be held at Upton Country Park in Poole. Visitors will find a host of traders selling cuisine from around the world including crepes, curry, paella, seafood and more. Tickets cost £3 for adults, £1.50 for children and £7 for families.

4. The Hall & Woodhouse Dorset Beer Festival will return on Saturday June 25 for its eighth celebration of all things beer. Held at the Hall & Woodhouse (H&W) Brewery in Blandford from 11am to 10pm, the festival usually attracts more than 1,400 people and provides an opportunity to celebrate local craft breweries and cider makers. Tickets are available to buy online or on the gate subject to availability for £10 per person.

5. Family Fest comes to The Meadows in Julian’s Road, Wimborne, this weekend. There will be more than 50 traders, local music, food and drink, crazy golf, a charity dog show and more. Family Fest takes place between 10am and 9pm on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26. Tickets are £4 per person per day in advance or £5 at the gate. Visit familyfestdorset.co.uk.

6. Folk on the Quay is back on Saturday and Sunday for the first time in two years. Organisers promise it will be “bigger and better than ever” and visitors will be treated to two days of free music and dancing on Poole Quay. Acts lined-up include Nick Parker & Friends, Gadarene, Hatful of Rain and Krista Green & The Bees.

7. There will be free yoga in Bournemouth Central Gardens, Poole’s Upton Country Park and at The Quomps in Christchurch between 9.30am and 10.30am on Sunday. Lake Gates car boot sale takes place at Wimborne Showground on Saturday between 7am and 1pm.

8. The Sheiling Ringwood will be hosting a summer festival on Saturday between 11.30am and 4pm. There will be horse and cart rides, go-karting, face painting, craft activities, classic cars, a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car and more, plus a BBQ, food and drink stalls and a music tent.
