Clinicians and staff celebrated the opening of My Dentist' on Wednesday following its expansion into a larger premises.

The work saw My Dentist’s practice on Commercial Road merged with the new-look site on Parkstone Road, increasing the number of surgeries available at the practice from five to eleven.

Addressing staff at the opening event, CEO Tom Riall said: “This has taken a lot of hard work.

“Word will spread around the town about what a great practice this is.”

Bournemouth Echo:

Practice manager Laura Teuber was on hand to cut the ribbon to the new premises. She said: “I’m so excited. We’ve been waiting for this for two years because of Covid.

“I’m pretty certain we’re going to be one of the biggest dental practices in Dorset.”

Laura hopes that the expansion to the practice, as well as the introduction of the company’s affordable private treatment service My Options, Poole residents will find it easier to access dental care.

She added: “With what’s happened with cCvid, NHS spaces have been pretty much non-existent.

Bournemouth Echo:

“We’ve brought in My Options. It’s not the NHS, but its £39 for a check-up as opposed to its £99 for a private check-up so it has been brought in to bridge that gap.”

The Poole practice is accepting new patients, offering private check-ups, essential dental treatments and cosmetic dental treatments.

The renovation has also improved disability access throughout the practice, and patients will benefit from free parking on site.

Rob Morison, area development manager, said: “We wanted to provide the best experience for our patients in Poole with a modernised dental practice that fulfils their needs now and in the future.

Bournemouth Echo: The number of surgeries available has increased from 5 to 11, each with all new dental chairs and equipment. The number of surgeries available has increased from 5 to 11, each with all new dental chairs and equipment.

“Our team has worked incredibly hard on the new practice and we’re excited to open the doors.

“With more surgeries we will have more appointments for our existing patients as well as creating availability for new patients.

“We know that accessing dental care in this region is difficult which is why we have introduced an affordable way to access a dentist when you need one.”
