A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of affray after reportedly threatening another man with a weapon in Ringwood.
On Sunday, June 12, officers responded to reports of a male with a weapon threatening another male in Ringwood town centre.
The man was located and detained for the purposes of a Section 1 PACE search, and subsequently arrested by Ringwood Police officers on suspicion of affray.
He was transported to Southampton custody centre where he will be interviewed by an investigations team while officers in Ringwood continue with further enquiries.
A police spokesperson said: “Please be assured that this is an isolated incident between two parties known to each other and doesn't represent a risk to the wider community.”
