THE CAR used to steal an ATM machine during a ram-raid in Upton last week has been recovered, police have confirmed.
As reported, a group of thieves drove a black Range Rover into the front of the Co-op store in Poole Road, Upton, at 3.43am on Thursday, June 9.
It is understood around four or five men dressed in black clothing got out and loaded the ATM machine into the car.
The vehicle is reported to have travelled eastbound on the A35 in the direction of Creekmoor as it left the scene.
Following enquiries, Dorset Police have confirmed the vehicle had been reported as stolen prior to being used in the ram-raid and has since been recovered. They were unable to disclose where the vehicle was found.
A police spokesperson also said: “Our investigations into this incident are ongoing, no arrests have been made and we are unable to give any further information at this time.”
