MORE than 800 properties could be affected by a "significant leak" in a rural Dorset village.
A burst water pipe in Lytchett Minster outside the St Peters Finger pub in Dorchester Road, the B3067 has caused a large amount of water to flood in the road.
As many as 833 properties close to the leak could potentially be affected, according to Wessex Water.
Cars are only able to pass one at a time.
Local authorities are at the scene dealing with the issue.
Purbeck Police have warned motorists to avoid the road "if possible."
A spokesman for Wessex Water said they are aware of a "significant leak" in Dorchester Road, and are attempting to fix the issue "as soon as possible."
