Community order made, whereby the defendant must have treatment for drug dependency for six months. To pay £95 surcharge. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for three years.

ROBERT DAVID INGRAM, aged 43 and of Westcliff Road, Bournemouth, admits stealing one diffuser valued at £150 belonging to John Lewis at Poole Retail Park, Branksome, on February 19. To pay £50 compensation. Also admits commission of a further offence whilst subject to a conditional discharge order for a period of 12 months imposed on January 10 at Poole Magistrates’ Court for an offence of theft from shop. No action taken on breach.

PETER HODSON, aged 35 and of Grosvenor Gardens, Bournemouth, admits assaulting a woman by beating her in Bournemouth on September 19, 2021. Committed to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 18 months. Also admits assaulting a woman by beating her in Bournemouth on October 27, 2021. Committed to prison for two weeks consecutive, suspended for 18 months. Also admits assaulting a woman by beating her in Bournemouth on December 2, 2021. Committed to prison for two weeks consecutive, suspended for 18 months. Also admits pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a women in Bournemouth between April 18 and May 2, and which he knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of her in that he repeatedly made contact with her via Facebook messenger. Committed to prison for four weeks consecutive, suspended for 18 months. Overall length of suspended sentence 20 weeks. Restraining order made, which lasts until May 30, 2027. To pay £128 surcharge.

MAHDI FERHANE, aged 37 and of Richmond Park Road, Bournemouth, found guilty of threatening to a woman that he would slash the vehicle tyres belonging to her intending that she would fear that the threat would be carried out in Bournemouth on July 19, 2020. Fined £184. To pay £625 surcharge and £34 costs.

ADAM DANIEL JAMES HAGGETT, aged 35 and of HMP Guys Marsh, admits stealing numerous bottles of spirits valued at £196 belonging to Tesco stores in Penny’s Walk, Ferndown, on November 5, 2021. Committed to prison for 14 days.

SAMUEL APLIN, aged 27 and of Marine Drive, Barton-on-Sea, admits driving a Ford Focus in Mudeford Lane, Christchurch, on May 8 with 60 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. Fined £600. To pay £60 surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 18 months.

ANDREW DAVID COOK, aged 40 and of Dale Close, Poole, admits committing fraud in that he dishonestly made a false representation, namely using bank cards that he knew belonging to another person, intending to cause loss to a woman or to expose that person to a risk of loss at Tesco Extra, Poole Quay, on November 26, 2021. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. To pay £22 surcharge. Also admits stealing bank cards belonging to a woman in Poole on November 23, 2021. Discharged conditionally for 12 months.

JIMMY RUSSELL SPIERS, aged 36 and of Upper Road, Poole, admits using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress in Cunningham Crescent, Bournemouth, on February 16, 2021. Fined £108. To pay £34 surcharge and £85 costs.

PURBECK

JAMES THOMAS PRESTON TOPLISS, aged 46 and of Wareham Road, Lytchett Matravers, admits having a quantity of cannabis in Weymouth on June 25, 2021. Discharged conditionally for conditionally for six months. To pay £22 surcharge and £85 costs. Drugs to be forfeited and destroyed.
