IT’S official, when Poole is peckish the residents call for chicken.

Takeaway delivery service Deliveroo has revealed the town’s top five most ordered dishes.

Data shows Poole’s top takeaway is a Southern Fried Wrap from Chicken & Blues.

The most popular dishes ordered in Poole are:

1. Southern Fried Wrap from Chicken & Blues

2. Bacon Double Cheese XL Meal from Burger King

3. Cod from The Halfway Fish and Chips

4. Chicken Wrap from Roosters Piri Piri

5. Carvery For One from Toby Carvery

And according to the data, Saturday at 7.15pm is the most popular time for Poole residents to order a Deliveroo.

Since its launch in the town six years ago, more than 130 restaurants have signed up to the on-demand food delivery service platform with 60 per cent local independent eateries.

Deliveroo has created work for more than 230 people, with the majority of these being the Deliveroo riders.

Ben Lacey, Deliveroo’s regional director for the UK and Ireland, said: “Our whole team here at Deliveroo are delighted that our rapid growth in Poole over the past six years means that customers have more choice, restaurants are able to increase their revenue, and riders have the opportunity to choose well-paid, flexible work.”
