A MAN sustained serious injuries in a late-night hit and run crash in Bournemouth.

The man, aged in his 30s, was found with injuries in Wimborne Road, near to Cemetery Junction, at 11.39pm on Saturday, May 28.

Police said the man reported that he had been involved in a collision with a vehicle, but was unable to give any further details.

He was treated by the ambulance service and taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were serious but not life-changing or life-threatening.

He has since been discharged from hospital.

Now police have issued an appeal for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

Police Constable Rob Duckmanton, of Bournemouth police, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident as we try and establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“I would urge any witnesses to please contact us and I would also ask anyone who was driving in the area around the time of the incident and has dashcam fitted to please check their footage for anything of relevance.”
