THOUSANDS are expected to descend on Sandbanks to enjoy a night of soul, Motown and disco.

Boogie on the Beach is returning to the peninsula on Friday, July 8, after a sell-out event last year, which saw more than 3,000 attend.

Guests at this summer’s event, which is organised by Tribeca Events, will be able to dance the night away to a packed line-up.

Headliners The Real Thing, who were the one of the most successful soul acts in the 1970s, will be performing a range of hits including ‘You To Me Are Everything’, which reached number in the UK chart, ‘Can’t Get By Without You’, ‘Can You Feel The Force’.

The group was originally scheduled for 2020’s event but they will be in town for a long-awaited debut.

Jaz Ellington, who is famous for his performances on The Voice UK, is bringing his eight-piece band as the lead support act, alongside a host of DJs.

Early bird tickets have sold out, but there are still tickets available, with general admission prices starting at £35.

Boogie on the Beach is part of the popular Sandpolo weekend. Ticket holders are invited to arrive from 1pm to enjoy an afternoon of Sandpolo and socialising before Boogie on the Beach starts at 7pm.
