"DANGEROUS" motocross bikers continue to “tear up and down” Slades Farm, causing anger amongst residents and dog walkers.

Residents in the area have been left confused as to a reasonable solution to the issue which takes place nearly every evening.

Clive Nelson, manager of the Pavilion café in Slades Farm, said: “I don’t have a solution if I’m honest.

“I think they’re dangerous and we’ve had a couple of them buzz by people sat outside the café.

“You’re not going to stop people from coming to an open green space area.

“You can sit here all day and you won’t see a single one. Suddenly by the evening you’ll see three or four.

“They shouldn't be coming here but what can you do to stop it? I’d be telling a lie if I said I had a brilliant solution to it.”

One dog walker described the bikers as “really dangerous”, adding: “It’s a family place and would be a shame if people can’t use it.

“It needs more police, but they can’t be here at the park all the time, it’s not possible.”

Resident Shelly Sell said: “The first Friday there were three motocross bikes in situ that went tearing along past the Pavilion between the children’s play area and the Pavilion café.

“The following Friday there was a motocross bike that went tearing straight across the field, and another one that was an hour apart that came on and he wore no helmet at all.

“He looked straight at me as I was filming."

Bournemouth Echo:

Inspector Joe Wheable of Dorset Police said: “We understand how frustrating this must be for local residents but would like to reassure them that we are conducting proactive patrols in the area as well as responding to calls from the public.

“We are also working with BCP Council to look at wider problem solving in terms of issues such as access to the land.
