A NEW summer fair showcasing artisan food stands, crafts and more is to be held this weekend.

The Wessex Event Company have introduced Summer Fair at Bryanston, a new two-day family event which will raise money for an alternative education project.

Taking place in the house and grounds at Bryanston School in Blandford on Saturday May 28 and Sunday 29, the fair will play host to food, crafts, plants and garden accessory stands, a health and wellbeing area with yoga, plus children’s entertainment including a bouncy castle, rides, and face painting.

There will also be a circus workshop on both days for children to participate in and learn some magic. In addition, Andy the Magic Man will perform live shows and tour the fair making balloon animals to hand out to children.

The chosen charity for the event will be the Luccombe Hub, with all proceeds from the children’s entertainment being donated to the project. The Hub offers eight- to 18-year-olds alternative education with one-to-one support to help them reach their full potential.

Dorset Council’s special educational department will also bring two of their therapy Shetland Ponies for visitors to see and learn about.
