DO you know someone who has gone above and beyond and deserves to be nominated in the Dorset Hero Awards 2022?

The Dorset Hero Awards in association with Talbot Village Trust are a chance to celebrate those who have done amazing things during the last 12 months.

Nominations close on June 2 and people are being urged to nominate someone special.

Tracy Hayden, director of sales, on behalf of publishers Newsquest, said: “The awards are driven to recognise the hard work, dedication, innovation, and care delivered across all sectors of society.”

There are 10 categories in total including Young Hero, 999 Hero and Hero of the Year.

Nicholas Ashley-Cooper, chairman of Talbot Village Trust, said: “Supporting our community is at the forefront of everything we do at Talbot Village Trust, so we are delighted the awards have returned and is growing in strength."

"We cannot wait to use this opportunity to further support, thank and champion some of our local heroes.”

Apex Prime Care are proud to be supporting the Dorset Heroes Awards for the second year running with The Unsung Hero category.

A spokesperson said: “As a homecare provider, we know how a hero can easily be missed. For a long time, the health and social care sector has been the unsung hero of our community, but we know how important the hidden heroes are and we want to celebrate them.

"There are so many people who do such great things but go under the radar. The time to celebrate them is now.”
