A BOURNEMOUTH-based box business has received a big boost from a former TV Dragon.
Last week Nicole Bateman, owner of A Box Full of Joy, was one of six weekly winners of ‘Small Business Sunday’ and gained a retweet by entrepreneur Theo Paphitis to his near half a million Twitter followers and Instagram share.
Small Business Sunday is a small business network in the UK with more than 3,500 active members.
New members A Box Full of Joy helps anxious teens with low self-esteem and children who struggle to communicate their feelings through card packs, emotion processing pads, gifts, workshops and coaching.
Nicole said: “A Box Full of Joy launched 9 months ago and so the increased visibility and the chance to join the Small Business Sunday community to network with other small businesses is such an encouragement.
“This business started from trying to find ways to support my son communicate his feelings after he was diagnosed with epilepsy and it has grown from there to help anxious teens with low self-esteem too.
“It’s been tough trying to raise our profile and Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his following which is amazing.”
