AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a crash in Bournemouth left a woman with broken legs.

Dorset Police officers and parademics were called to reports of a collision involving a grey Volkswagen Golf and a pedestrian in Branksome Wood Road at the junction with Leven Avenue.

The pedestrian, a local woman aged in her 20s, was taken to Poole Hospital for treatment.

On Saturday, police said the woman sustained minor injuries, however, it has now been confirmed that she suffered sustained fractures to both legs.

The male driver of the car was uninjured.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following the serious injury collision in Bournemouth.

Police Constable Ben Baxter, of Dorset Police, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.

“I am also keen to hear from any residents or motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on either home CCTV or dashcam footage.”
