ARMED police attempted to engage with a man displaying “threatening behaviour” as they responded to a breach of the peace in Poole.
Witnesses reported seeing up to nine police cars, armed officer and the dog unit in Hillside Road.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Dorset Police received a report at 11.08am on Tuesday, May 10 2022 to assist another agency in relation to a potential breach of the peace linked to a civil dispute at an address in Hillside Road in Poole.
“Officers attended and it was reported that a man inside the address was displaying threatening behaviour.
“Further officers, including armed police, attended and a cordon was put in place as officers made attempts to engage with the man.
“It was reported at around 3.25pm that the man was out of the property and he was detained.”
