LEWIS-Manning Hospice Care is looking for enthusiastic people in the community to volunteer at its shops in Ashley Cross and Westbourne.

The charity is in its 30th anniversary year and provides care to patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness across Poole, Purbeck and East Dorset.

The hospice’s volunteer manager, Nicola Garsden, said: “We would love people in our local community to take up these fantastic shop volunteer opportunities in our Ashley Cross and Westbourne shops. Days and times can be very flexible to suit you and your lifestyle, but we try and encourage people to do shifts of approximately four hours.

Founder Mrs Marjorie Lewis-Manning started Lewis-Manning Hospice Care 30 years ago, with a vision to help people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.

Nicola said: "If you have good people skills, can greet and chat to customers in the shop and are keen to learn how to use the tills, labelling, sorting stock and other fun tasks, we would love to hear from you!."
