Bournemouth was the warmest place in the country on Saturday as temperatures look set to remain high today.

The sun shone down on this part of Dorset throughout most of Saturday, with local weather enthusiast, Bournemouth and Poole Weather saying the town was the warmest place in the UK.

Temperatures hit 21.8C, and look set to do the same again today.

The week ahead looks set to be cloudy with some sunny spells, with sunshine expected to make a return again next weekend - hopefully.

The Met Office say Monday will be dry and warm with spells of hazy sunshine for much of England and Wales.

From Tuesday there will be patchy rain affecting the southeast, with sunny spells and showers elsewhere.

Heavy rain and strong winds possible widely on Wednesday but drier and brighter in the south on Thursday.
