THREE youths have been identified by police in connection with anti-social behaviour incidents in Christchurch.

Christchurch Police said following assistance from members of the community, three young people and their families had been spoken to regarding the “ongoing issue” of anti-social behaviour in the areas of Ducking Stool Walk and Millhams Street.

In line with the victims' wishes, the matter has been dealt with out of court at this stage.

A Christchurch Police spokesperson said: “Officers have engaged with the youths and their families and explained the severity of the impact of their behaviour on residents and the severe consequences should their behaviour continue.

“While it is positive that these youths have been identified, it is clear that there are others who are involved who have yet to be identified.

“We will continue to patrol the area, circulate any footage reported and work to identify and deal with the outstanding offenders in line with the nature of their actions and the wishes of the victim in question.”
