ARMED police responded to a welfare incident in Bournemouth yesterday in which a man was reportedly in possession of a sword.
Dorset Police received a report at 4.59pm on Wednesday, May 4, relating to a concern for welfare incident involving a man who was reported to be in possession of a sword at an address in Larksfield Avenue.
Officers attended the scene and efforts were made to engage with the man. Road closures were put in place as a precaution.
The man came out of the property at around 7.45pm and was given appropriate care.
