A MAN in his 90s sustained a broken wrist, broken thumb and injuries to his arms after a crash involving a pedestrian and a cyclist.

Police investigating the fail-to-stop crash in Wimborne have appealed for the cyclist and anybody involved to come forward.

At around 3.55pm on Wednesday, April 20, a cyclist collided with a pedestrian in Crown Mead near Waitrose.

The cyclist got back onto his bike and left the area without giving their details.

The pedestrian, aged in his 90s attended hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Police Constable Rhianna Sly, of East Dorset police, said: “I have been carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident, including checking CCTV in the area.

“I am appealing to the cyclist to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the vicinity and witnessed the incident.”
