A BOURNEMOUTH man has been fined for speeding in a Tesla in London but has avoided a ban.
James Dearness Hogarth, 47, of Nelson Road, admitted speeding in Greenford on August 2, 2021.
Court papers stated Hogarth was caught by an automatic camera device in a Tesla on the A40 GLA Road, travelling at 46mph when the limit was 40mph.
The defendant appeared at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court for sentencing on Wednesday, April 20.
Magistrates fined Hogarth £384 for the offence, and ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £38.
He was also ordered to pay costs of £90 and had his driving record endorsed with three points.
A totting disqualification was not imposed as the defendant provided care to his parents.
