POLICE were called to the river in Wareham on Bank Holiday Monday after reports a body had been found.
The RNLI and Dorset Police attended the incident just before 3pm on Monday, May 2.
It is not related to the ongoing search for missing man David Haw.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police received a report at 2.59pm on Monday 2 May 2022 that a body of a man had been found in the river in Wareham.
"Officers attended with the ambulance service, HM Coastguard and the RNLI.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and the man’s family has been informed. HM Coroner has also been notified."
