TWO cats died in a property fire in Poole in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The fire broke out at a first floor flat above a commercial premises in Alder Road in the Parkstone area.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the blaze around 1am.
A fire investigation is now ongoing in conjunction with Dorset Police.
Fire crews from Redhill, Springbourne, Westbourne and Poole attended the scene along with the aerial ladder platform.
The fire was extinguished using four breathing apparatus, two hoses and two jet hoses.
A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said all people had been accounted for following the blaze, but two cats had died in the incident.
The fire was dealt with by 2.15am.
